Dr. Jeff Obayashi​​

After more than 15 years of practicing medicine across British Columbia, Dr. Obayashi is uniting his three main areas of interest into Biobi Health:

Dr. Obayashi still works as a Family Physician and Hospitalist in White Rock, BC. After diagnosing and treating thousands of British Columbians with largely preventable conditions, he has become increasingly focused on disease prevention, vitality, and quality of life. Meet the Team

Dr. Diana Jahnsen
Ed.D. Psychology
Licensed School Psychologist
Dr. Jahnsen creates the psychology and mindset components of the Biobi online courses and consults with Dr. Obayashi on your health plan and Slack channel. She can also coordinate 1-on-1 clinical psychology visits for you.

Dr. Jahnsen is a licensed school psychologist with a strong foundation in special education and over 20 years of experience in the Surrey School District in British Columbia, Canada. She earned her doctorate from Johns Hopkins University, where her dissertation focused on integrating student and family supports across school and community settings. Dr. Jahnsen has co-authored numerous district publications on topics such as chronic absenteeism, wraparound care, and student and family engagement. Most recently, she co-authored the book Education for Social Justice. She also holds an M.A. in School Psychology from the University of British Columbia and a B.Ed. in Elementary Special Education from the University of Alberta.

I believe that psychology is a vital aspect of well-being, and I’m committed to integrating all elements of health to help myself and others develop a system that supports optimal wellness."

Diane Rohac
Registered Dietitian

Diane creates the diet and nutrition components of the Biobi online courses and consults with Dr. Obayashi on your health plan and Slack channel. She can also provide 1-on-1 dietitian visits for you.

Diane is a Registered Dietitian with over three decades of clinical and supervisory experience in British Columbia. After graduating from Université Laval in Québec City with a B.Sc in Dietetics, and working in a large teaching hospital, Diane relocated to British Columbia in 1988, where she has since been a vital part of local communities in Fraser Health.
​
Although Diane has spent most of her time in BC as a clinical dietitian at Peace Arch Hospital, she was also a clinical practice leader for dietary services at the Jim Pattison Outpatient Surgical and Care Centre.
Throughout her career, Diane has worked across the spectrum of healthcare, including surgery, medicine, ICU, acute care for the elderly, long-term care, mental health, and outpatient services. Her approach is deeply rooted in a holistic health model that addresses the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of well-being.
Known for her compassionate care and strong leadership, Diane continues to advocate for patient-centered nutrition practices and integrative approaches to health care at Biobi Health.​

Sumen Singla
Registered Physiotherapist
Osteopathic Practitioner
Sumen creates the physiotherapy components of the Biobi online courses and consults with Dr. Obayashi on your health plans and Slack channel. She can also provide 1-on-1 physiotherapy or osteopathy visits for you.

Sumen has been actively practicing for over 15 year and incorporates physiotherapy, osteopathy, and acupuncture in her clinic Salius Physiotherapy. She completed her 5 year Manual osteopathy program and defended her thesis in 2016 on “The effects of Osteopathic treatment in postpartum women, with lumbo-sacral pain and dysfunction”. She is on the Board of Directors at OsteopathyBC. She also is certified by AFC to do acupuncture in the scope of physiotherapy.
Through community awareness programs, she educates people about various health conditions and provides support and resources. She is often using channels like radio, articles, and blog posts to spread this knowledge.
Sumen enjoys treating patients with chronic pain, understanding that their condition is multifaceted. She therefore uses a holistic approach to help her patients reach their full potential. This holistic philosophy is central to her comprehensive, patient-centred care at Biobi Health. In her free time you will find Sumen spending time in the outdoors with her family.​

Karen Krahn
Office Manager

Karen is the heart of our clinic and will help you navigate each step of your health journey. As our office manager, she keeps everything running smoothly, ensuring that every detail is handled with efficiency and care.

Karen is a retired dental hygienist who brings a lifelong passion for prevention to our team. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in Dental Hygiene. She switched careers and has been working as a Unit Clerk at Peace Arch Hospital since 2020. She enjoys gardening, walking, and spending time with her family.
Karen has always had an interest in lifestyle and functional medicine, and a profound respect for the human body and spirit which is incredibly dynamic and fluid. She enjoys being part of the Biobi Health team and assisting people in the evolution of becoming their best selves!​
